Best Birthday, Ever!

Andrew had his 2nd birthday party on May 17. There were lots of balloons, presents and food. Andrew's favorite part of the day was the cookies. Everytime we turned around he was picking a new cookie for himself. On Sunday, a bear visited the neighborhood. We're not sure, but we think he liked the cookies Andrew tossed in the yard too.

On Sunday, after everyone at church sang "Happy Birthday" to Andrew, we headed to Pigeon Forge. We took Andrew out for pizza and some time at the arcade Sunday night and on Monday we spent the day at Dollywood. He had so much fun. He loved the rides. He's not scared of anything. And he's always looking at things trying to figure out how they work. He's very mechanical. After we returned to the hotel we spent some time in the pool. Andrew loves the water and even made a few new friends.

On Tuesday, we went to the Knoxville Zoo. Andrew enjoyed seeing the animals but we think he was disappointed not to see any rides. He met a very friendly camel and crawled through a tunnel under the ground which a lot of fun.

Leaps and Bounds

Andrew turns 2 on May 19. It's amazing how fast he's growing and how much he changes everyday.

He still loves to take things apart and put them back together. He's always try to figure out how things work. He loves his cars and trucks and his tool set. He's a big fan of Thomas the Train and Word World.


Right now, nothing makes him happier than to flip light switches on and off. He's also learned the joys of trying to put on other people's shoes. He still loves to go outside and play and we take him to the park as often as we can. He loves both the slide and the swings and enjoys climbing up and down steps. He's very independent and insists on doing most everything by himself.
