Happy Halloween!

We took Andrew to the Asheville Mall to trick-or-treat this year. Grandpa and Grandpa Hoffart and Uncle Ron joined us. Andrew dressed up as Dracula and had a great time!

Beach Trip '08

Each September we take a trip to Myrtle Beach. Andrew's always loved the water, but this year he didn't take to it quite as fast. His favorite parts of the trip were playing in the sand and the kiddie pool that had the "raining mushroom." He also enjoyed running around in the hotel room and sleeping in his new big-boy travel bed.

Summer Fun

We took Andrew on his annual boat ride last Sunday, and though the weather was a little questionable, we ended up having a great afternoon.

Best Birthday, Ever!

Andrew had his 2nd birthday party on May 17. There were lots of balloons, presents and food. Andrew's favorite part of the day was the cookies. Everytime we turned around he was picking a new cookie for himself. On Sunday, a bear visited the neighborhood. We're not sure, but we think he liked the cookies Andrew tossed in the yard too.

On Sunday, after everyone at church sang "Happy Birthday" to Andrew, we headed to Pigeon Forge. We took Andrew out for pizza and some time at the arcade Sunday night and on Monday we spent the day at Dollywood. He had so much fun. He loved the rides. He's not scared of anything. And he's always looking at things trying to figure out how they work. He's very mechanical. After we returned to the hotel we spent some time in the pool. Andrew loves the water and even made a few new friends.

On Tuesday, we went to the Knoxville Zoo. Andrew enjoyed seeing the animals but we think he was disappointed not to see any rides. He met a very friendly camel and crawled through a tunnel under the ground which a lot of fun.
