Eight Months Old

On the Go . The last 8 months have flown by. It's amazing to see how much Andrew has changed. His first two little teeth are really growing. He's mastered sitting up by himself and is working hard on crawling. He pulls himself up every chance he gets and loves to try to walk.

Feeding Time. Andrew's favorite foods right now are sweet potatoes and bananas. He loves ice cream too - like Grandpa Jerry - but he doesn't get that very often and when he does, it's just a little taste. He's also becoming a juice drinker. We've tried pear juice and apple juice so far and both were met with approval.

Nite-Nite. Andrew is a very good sleeper. He generally sleeps nine hours each night and takes two naps during the day. He's learning to take his bottle and put himself to sleep rather than be rocked, though he values his time in the rocking chair as his own personal special treat. Andrew has no problem holding his own bottle and has even managed to hide it a couple of times when he didn't want us to know he wasn't drinking it!

Baby Talk. Andrew's a big talker. He's mastered Da-Da and we're pretty sure we've heard him say bye-bye. He roars like a lion too. He's also starting to wave good-bye.

Family and Friends. Andrew's anxiously awaits the birth of his new cousin. She's due sometime around April 8. Grandpa and Grandma are sceduled to arrive back in the states March 31 so he'll get to see them in a couple of months. And he already has a girlfriend! Young Avery lives in Charlotte.

We are so proud of Andrew. We tell him daily how wonderful and special he is and, of course, remind him of how cute we think he is every chance we get!
